We have started work on the construction of third-generation detector, equipped with new optics (f = 300 mm, d = f / 1.5) that will increase the range. This detector is also equipped with a new camera that will allow to perform exposure at least 3 fps and a new assembly that will allow access to the flash in less than 10 s.
This allows, inter alia quick response to GCN alerts and flashes detected by Pi of the Sky. It will include a more rapid response to alerts from the GCN network and system flashes Pi of the Sky and their registrations with increased temporal resolution and better range and accuracy.
It will also input into a new area of astrophysics, which is to detect and track satellites and “space junk”.
